We don't collect your data

Help Me Vote DC 2026! does not collect, store, or share personal information. Here's exactly what happens when you use this site:

No database. There is no server-side database. Nothing about you is saved anywhere other than your own browser.

No analytics or trackers. There are no Google Analytics scripts, advertising pixels, social sharing widgets, or third-party tracking of any kind.

No third-party CDN or fonts. All CSS, JavaScript, and fonts are served directly from this site. There are no calls to Google Fonts, jsDelivr, or any other external CDN that could log your IP address.

Quiz answers live only in a signed cookie on your device. When you answer quiz questions, your responses are stored in an encrypted, tamper-proof session cookie in your browser. They are never transmitted to or stored on the server — the server sees only a signed blob it uses to render your results. If you clear your browser cookies or the session expires, your answers are gone.

No accounts. You never create an account, enter an email address, or provide any identifying information.

How to clear your quiz answers

To reset your answers for any race, use the Reset my answers link on the quiz page. To clear everything at once, delete this site's cookies in your browser settings.

This site is open source under AGPL-3.0. You can read the full source code — including the session cookie handling — to verify these claims yourself.
